Neurosmith Musini

http://leafo.net/hosted/ragnar/rippedsounds/musini.7z

the toy by design makes different musical sequences every time (it's like MIDI hooked up to a light sensor) but here's a 17 minute recording of it. Sound quality is pretty good for a kid's toy, it's in stereo but I didn't have the right cords to make a stereo recording

Blue Sky Finger Beats

http://leafo.net/hosted/ragnar/rippedsounds/fingerbeats.7z

kinda bizarre, has no open hihat but two cymbal crashes, and the demo button seems to play different kick snare and hat sounds than the pad. Also there's some bongo sounds and that one instrument where I forget the name so I just named it perc1. Also included are the quality demo tunes

Mighty Megamouth

(sorry for small picture)

http://leafo.net/hosted/ragnar/rippedsounds/mighty%20megamouth.7z

Toy megaphone with 4 really annoying built-in samples. I tried connecting the speaker wire to a headphone out again, I thought it would turn it into a distortion effect but you be the judge with the 4 voice clips. I thought it would be a pretty cheap microphone/sound quality but it came out pretty good. Also a couple of circuit bending clips in the zip that kind of warp the pitch/fast vibrato effect?

Optimus Concertmate 410

again a little noisy because this one had a headphone out built-in and I want to save it as-is

has a great lo-fi voice that announces your selection, counts from 1 to 6

Casio MT-220

http://leafo.net/hosted/ragnar/rippedsounds/casio%20mt-220.7z

not sure why the clap and the hihat occur together, I'll try to re-rip sometime. As you can see there is no individual trigger for the handclap so I had to record off of one of the demo rhythms. Actually it was really weirdly designed and might've had separate outs for the kick/snare/etc.? I'll mess around with the separate outs once I find it

Some Kawasaki Keyboard bends

http://leafo.net/hosted/ragnar/rippedsounds/kawasakibends1.7z

I don't know much about circuit bending atm (also I can't solder to save my life) but I managed to make these sort of high pitched oscillating noises with it. The drum sounds weren't worth ripping they're the same as a one of the Casio drumkits I think? Next I'll upload from a Casio MT-220 which I'm pretty sure has the sounds in question

Megcos Pop-up Turtle Toy

this thing

http://leafo.net/hosted/ragnar/rippedsounds/megcosturtletoy.zip

(sorry it's recorded straight from line out but it's pretty noisy anyway, might want to lowpass this one first)
Hi I'm going to post toys/keyboards/various noisemakers I find at thrift stores/etc. All will be recorded straight from a line out/if a line out doesn't exist, I take the speaker connections and connect them to a Radio Shack headphone jack. Part of the reason I made this blog is because there are so many circuit bending/videos/wavs online but nobody ever posts the original sounds, and I'm sick of the usual drum machines being posted online when there are so many obscure little keyboards out there. I might try to bend them later but for now the focus is on various toy samples/drumkits from toy keyboards, the cheaper the better. Some of the keyboards are so cheap they don't even have a name, so I'll try to post a photo of it at least for reference
